Adds new subsection (g) to Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 46-4 prohibiting counties from banning rental agreements with terms of one to five months for qualifying tenants.

Permits short-term rentals only for individuals relocating between islands within Hawaii or employees temporarily working at a job site in the applicable county during the rental period.

Requires each county council to adopt an ordinance implementing this prohibition no later than June 30, 2023, for the provision to take effect in that county.

Makes technical corrections to existing zoning statute language, changing "such" to "a" and "within" to "in" in various provisions.

Takes effect on July 1, 2022.
