Authorizes advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) licensed under chapter 457 to serve as attending providers and consulting providers for medical-aid-in-dying, in addition to physicians, enabling them to prescribe end-of-life medication within their scope of practice.

Expands the list of mental health professionals authorized to provide required counseling to include psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and marriage and family therapists, in addition to existing psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers.

Reduces the mandatory waiting period between initial and second oral requests for medical-aid-in-dying from 20 days to 15 days.

Waives the 15-day waiting period for terminally ill individuals whose attending provider attests they will die within 15 days of the initial oral request, allowing them to reiterate their oral request immediately.

Strengthens nondisclosure protections by protecting information collected or retained by the department or through provider-patient communications from being disclosed, discovered, or compelled in any proceeding; effective January 1, 2050.
