S.B. 3106 Summary

• Permanently exempts eight positions in the Department of Human Services from civil service requirements: information technology implementation manager, assistant information technology implementation manager, resource manager, community/project development director, policy director, special assistant to the director, limited English proficiency project manager/coordinator, and business technology analyst.

• Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 76-16(b) to add these DHS positions to the list of exemptions from civil service in paragraph (30) for the director's office and new paragraph (34) for the social services division.

• Effective date is July 1, 2060.
