SB 3334 Summary

• Transfers the Stadium Authority from the Department of Accounting and General Services to the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT) to centralize state land development expertise.

• Establishes the Director of DBEDT (or designee) as an ex officio voting member of both the Hawaii Tourism Authority and Stadium Authority boards.

• Reduces general obligation bonds authorized for the stadium development district from $170,000,000 to $20,000,000, with unencumbered moneys lapsing on June 30, 2024.
