Department of Health shall establish a task force to study the feasibility of Hawaii entering into the solemn covenant of the states to award prizes for curing diseases.

Task force study shall examine economic development opportunities, marketing requirements, administrative costs, potential state benefits, and identification of issues related to the covenant.

Task force shall develop standards for eligible disease cures, protocols and safeguards for successful cures, and necessary contract or agreement types.

Department of Health must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2022 regular session.

Task force shall dissolve upon accomplishing its objectives or twenty days prior to the 2022 regular session, whichever occurs first; Act takes effect July 1, 2060.
