Urges Hawaii counties and state government to work with Huamakahikina and Kumu Hula (recognized hula lineage representatives) to establish new policies protecting hula.

Addresses problems of cultural misappropriation and exploitation of hula by unqualified instructors and misrepresentation through incorrect choreography, designs, and terminology that weakens hula standards.

Calls for increased public funding and facilities to support hula preservation and recognize the rigorous professional training that Kumu Hula undergo.

Requests protection of intellectual property rights for Kumu Hula and acknowledgement of their professional labor market value.

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Governor, Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and each county Mayor.
