Department of Transportation is requested to establish a zero emissions interisland transportation working group to support Hawaii's goal of achieving a zero emissions clean economy by 2045

Working group shall advise and recommend plans regarding zero emissions interisland transportation to the Governor and Legislature, and develop metrics, benchmarks, plans and recommendations for stakeholders

Working group shall identify opportunities to coordinate with and pursue funding from other groups, agencies, and programs within and outside the State working to achieve zero emissions transportation

Addresses transportation sector's role as the majority source of Hawaii's greenhouse gas emissions and notes that electric ferries and commercial electric aircraft are already operating in coastal regions globally
