Urges the State Sustainability Coordinator to work with state and county film offices to develop protocols ensuring film and television productions in Hawaii use sustainable practices.

Identifies that the 2019 film and television industry in Hawaii generated $405 million in production expenditures, created 3,303 jobs, and produced $707 million in economic impact with $43.7 million in tax revenues.

Notes that using reusable supplies instead of single-use plastics could reduce water supply costs on a 60-day production from $11,175 to approximately $5,489.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be sent to the State Sustainability Coordinator, Hawaii State Film Commissioner, and film commissioners at the Honolulu, Maui County, Hawaii Island, and Kauai film offices.
