Urges the Department of Transportation to name the Mokulele Bike Path after former State Representative Joseph "Joey" W. Bertram III in recognition of his life and contributions to Maui's bike route development.

Joseph "Joey" W. Bertram III (April 29, 1957 – May 24, 2020) served four years as State Representative for District 11 in South Maui and was a strong advocate for greenways, open space, bikeways, and public transportation.

Bertram founded Public Access Trails Hawai'i-Maui and directed Greenways Maui while supporting worker rights, LGBTQ+ community rights, cannabis legalization, and other community initiatives including the Kihei Community Association and Kihei Youth Center.

Bertram's significant achievements included developing the Maui Veterans Highway bike route and the Kihei Greenway/South Maui Bike Path, which originated from the 1985 Kihei-Makena Community Plan and is currently in design for Phase 3.

Directs transmission of a certified copy of the concurrent resolution to the Director of Transportation.
