Director of Transportation is requested to convene a task force to study best practices for greening transportation and public infrastructure in jurisdictions outside Hawaii.

Task force composition includes Senate and House members (as co-chairs), Director of Transportation, Chairperson of Board of Land and Natural Resources, Director of Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, Comptroller, and other relevant stakeholders.

Task force is requested to survey successful green infrastructure efforts in other jurisdictions and analyze procedural steps necessary for Hawaii and counties to implement green transportation and public infrastructure.

Task force must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2023 Regular Session convenes.

Department of Transportation is requested to provide statistics and information to assist the task force in completing its study.
