Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) is requested to create a plan for Kau Hospital to incorporate modern computed tomography equipment by July 1, 2024

The plan must include a list of appropriate tomography equipment to be purchased and installed, estimated total cost of purchase and installation, and estimated timetable for purchase and installation

HHSC is requested to submit the plan report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2023

Kau Hospital is the only hospital in the Kau District on Hawaii Island (an area approximately the size of Oahu) and serves a medically underserved area; it achieved critical access hospital status in 2001
