Request the Department of Health and County of Hawaii to conduct a feasibility study for implementing an ambulance service in Makalei, Hawaii Island

Study to include recommendations for the most efficient method to provide ambulance service to the town of Makalei

Feasibility study must be submitted to the Governor and Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2023 Regular Session convenes

Cite need for ambulance service due to rapid population growth in north Kona, 30-mile distance to nearest primary care facilities, and paramedics responding to 10+ emergency calls per 24-hour shift

Transmit certified copies of the concurrent resolution to the Director of Health and Mayor of the County of Hawaii
