Urges the Office of Information Practices to clear the backlog of appeals filed under Hawaii's Uniform Information Practices Act (chapter 92F) by January 1, 2023.

Acknowledges that a backlog was created when the Governor suspended the Uniform Information Practices Act from March 2020 through August 5, 2021 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which halted the office's ability to accept and rule on appeals.

Requires the Office of Information Practices to submit a report to the Legislature at least twenty days before the 2023 Regular Session convening, detailing procedures used to clear the backlog, number of outstanding appeals, and any proposed legislation.

Directs transmission of a certified copy of this resolution to the Director of the Office of Information Practices.
