Requests the State Auditor to conduct an audit of the Department of Health and Department of Public Safety's implementation and use of the Hawaii Information Portal (HIP).

HIP is an electronic system launched in 2019 to replace Hawaii's paper-based payroll system and provide employees electronic access to payroll records, pay statements, and W-2 forms.

Employees at the Department of Health and Department of Public Safety have reported problems with HIP, including incorrect calculations of payroll and leave time.

Auditor must submit findings and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2023 Regular Session convenes.

Certified copies to be transmitted to the Auditor, Director of Health, Director of Human Resources Development, and Director of Public Safety.
