S.C.R. NO. 66 Summary

• Urges heads of state departments and agencies to provide interactive conferencing technology to facilitate remote participation in board meetings for over 170 state boards, councils, authorities, committees, and commissions.

• Urges department and agency heads to provide board packets to interested persons at least 24 hours prior to board meetings upon request.

• Notes that remote participation technology was successfully used during the COVID-19 pandemic and benefited individuals with disabilities and residents of rural and neighbor island areas.

• Directs that certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor and heads of each executive department of the State.
