Urges the City and County of Honolulu to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Lanikai Bikeway, which officially opened on July 1, 1972.

Recognizes Ted Rodgers and Cynthia Thielen for leading community efforts to establish the bikeway after a near-fatal bicycle incident involving student Linda Bell.

Notes that a community survey counted approximately 600 bicycles in use in Lanikai, with most riders being children, prompting the need for safer infrastructure.

Acknowledges that a petition with 262 family signatures was successfully submitted to the City and County of Honolulu, resulting in approval for the one-way traffic loop and bikeway along Aalapapa Drive and Mokulua Drive.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Mayor of Honolulu, the Chair of the Honolulu City Council, and the President of the Lanikai Association.
