Requests the Department of Transportation establish a working group to develop zero emissions interisland transportation solutions aligned with Hawaii's goal of a zero emissions clean economy by 2045

Working group to identify opportunities to coordinate with and pursue funding from agencies and programs both within and outside the State working on zero emissions transportation

Notes that electric ferries operate successfully in Europe and commercial electric aircraft are entering markets globally, positioning Hawaii as an ideal incubator for deploying these technologies at scale

Recognizes transportation as the majority source of Hawaii's greenhouse gas emissions and that electric technologies could reduce interisland transportation costs as fossil fuel expenses increase
