Requests the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to conduct a study on establishing a senior living center in the Kā'ū district in coordination with the Executive Office on Aging and County of Hawai'i Office of Aging.

Study must assess the necessity and feasibility of a senior living center to support the elderly population in Kā'ū, where 25.5 percent of the district's 9,885 residents are age 60 or older and 17 percent of the elderly population lives below the poverty level.

Requires submission of findings and recommendations to the Legislature and County of Hawai'i Office of the Mayor no later than January 1, 2023.

Notes that the County of Hawai'i Office of Aging currently serves approximately 248 individuals (25 percent of Kā'ū's elderly population) through home and community-based service programs.
