Hawaii Health Systems Corporation is requested to partner with the Kau Rural Health Community Association, Inc. to conduct a needs assessment for urgent care and outpatient behavioral health services in the Kau district.

The needs assessment should determine demand for and access to urgent care and outpatient behavioral health services in the Kau district of Hawaii County.

Hawaii Health Systems Corporation must submit a report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2023.

Certified copies of the resolution must be transmitted to the Director of Health, Chair of the Board of Directors of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, and Executive Director of Kau Rural Health Community Association, Inc.
