Designates September 2022 as Child Care Provider Appreciation Month in Hawaii.

Recognizes that over 30,000 children under age six receive licensed child care services in Hawaii, with majority having working parents.

Acknowledges that one in three child care workers experience food insecurity due to average wages below $30,000 annually.

Encourages policymakers, community organizations, and residents to recognize the critical importance of early childhood care and child care providers.

Directs certified copies be sent to the Governor, Director of Human Services, Director of Health, Director of the Executive Office on Early Learning, and Superintendent of Education.
