HB 100 Summary

• Establishes a criminal justice data sharing working group to develop recommendations for a statewide criminal justice data repository and address data sharing complexities among state and county criminal justice agencies.

• Working group comprises directors of public safety, corrections and rehabilitation, law enforcement, the attorney general, administrative director of courts, public defender, county prosecutors and police chiefs, and chairs of relevant legislative committees.

• Working group shall develop memoranda of agreement between participating agencies, identify operational and policy drivers, address legislative and operational issues, and provide periodic updates and a final report by twenty days prior to the 2026 legislative session for a July 1, 2028 repository start date.

• Specifies data categories to be shared in the repository, including pre-charging information, case details, defendant demographics, charge information, bail and bond conditions, sentencing information, inmate records, and probation or community control supervision data.

• Effective date is June 30, 3000.
