Establishes a Hawaii hemp industry task force within the department of agriculture to gather data and make recommendations on supporting the state's hemp industry.

Task force membership includes the board of agriculture chairperson (as chair), health director, house agriculture committee chair, seven hemp farmers proportionate to USDA licenses by island, and one representative each from fuel, building, general fiber, cannabinoid, and grain food sectors.

Task force shall gather data from hemp economists, regulators in other states, retailers, farmers, and industry groups; develop strategies to address farmer needs; and report findings and recommendations to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2024 regular session.

Members serve without compensation and the department of agriculture shall provide administrative support to the task force.

Task force dissolves on June 30, 2024, with the act taking effect on June 30, 3000.
