• Restricts judges, elected officials, and legislative officers hired after July 1, 2023 from being classified as Class A members in the Employees' Retirement System, instead subjecting them to the same retirement benefits as employees hired after June 30, 2012.

• Changes retirement eligibility and benefit calculation formulas for judges, elected officials, and legislative officers hired after July 1, 2023 to align with post-2012 employee standards, including higher age and service requirements.

• Prevents individuals who first earn credited service as judges, elected officials, or legislative officers after July 1, 2023 from electing to become Class H members under the retirement system.

• Grandfathers existing judges, elected officials, and legislative officers in service before July 1, 2023 under current more favorable retirement benefit provisions.

• Effective upon approval.
