HI HB146

Adds the fire chief of the Hawaii state aircraft rescue fire fighting unit to the state fire council membership, which previously consisted only of the four county fire chiefs.

Adds a representative of the division of forestry and wildlife of the department of land and natural resources to the state fire council membership.

Requires these same two representatives to be included in advisory committees appointed by the state fire council for drafting state fire code and coordinating statewide training, data collection, and contingency planning.

Authorizes the state fire council to advise and assist both county and state fire departments (previously limited to county departments only).

Takes effect on June 30, 3000.
