Makes intentionally or knowingly causing bodily injury to a sports official engaged in lawful duties a class C felony under assault in the second degree (Section 707-711(1)(n)).

Authorizes courts to enjoin offenders from attending sports events of the type where the assault occurred for up to 12 months for a first offense and for life for a second or subsequent offense.

Expands assault in the second degree convictions to include those against sports officials, aligning with existing protections for educational workers, emergency medical services providers, firefighters, and health care workers.

Applies the anti-attendance injunction provisions to all assault convictions against sports officials under sections 707-710, 707-711, and 707-712, and terroristic threatening convictions under sections 707-716 and 707-717.

Takes effect upon approval and does not affect proceedings or penalties that occurred before the effective date.
