Exempts procurements of less than $100,000 for career and technical education equipment by the Department of Education from electronic procurement system requirements.

Requires no less than three quotations for Department of Education purchases of career and technical education equipment valued at $5,000 to less than $15,000.

Requires no less than three written quotations for Department of Education purchases of career and technical education equipment valued at $15,000 to less than $100,000.

Adds new section to Chapter 302A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Part V to establish simplified procurement procedures for this equipment category.

Takes effect June 30, 3000.
