Department of Labor and Industrial Relations shall conduct an actuarial study on a potential leave grant pilot program for small businesses with up to 100 employees to offer paid family leave and sick leave benefits.

Study shall identify minimum requirements including potential costs of grants to small businesses and costs to administer the pilot program.

Department shall submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than 20 days prior to the convening of the regular 2024 legislative session.

General revenues are appropriated to the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 to conduct the actuarial study (specific amount left blank in bill).

Act becomes effective June 30, 3000.
