• Board of Education must work with the Department of Education to analyze the need, impact, and feasibility of making computer science a graduation requirement for public schools.

• Board of Education must determine whether making computer science a graduation requirement would be in the best interests of public school students and the public based on the analysis.

• Board of Education must submit a report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2024 regular session convenes.

• Appropriates an unspecified amount from general revenues for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 to the Department of Education for teacher professional development in computer science.

• Effective date is July 1, 2050.
