Expands pharmacist scope of practice to allow ordering and performing collection of specimens for certain diagnostic tests including SARS-CoV-2, respiratory illnesses (influenza, streptococcal pharyngitis), and liver function tests, as well as CLIA-waived tests.

Prohibits specimen collection by vaginal swab, venipuncture, or seminal fluid collection for diagnostic tests under this authority.

Requires pharmacists to complete appropriate training from ACPE-approved programs, ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy programs, state or local health department programs, or board-recognized programs before performing these tests.

Requires pharmacists to obtain a permit pursuant to section 321-13 requirements before exercising authority to order and perform specimen collection for these tests.

Takes effect June 30, 3000.
