Persons waive the right to a contested case hearing if they fail to request one within 20 days of receiving the campaign spending commission's preliminary determination.

The campaign spending commission's final orders may be filed in the first circuit court and confirmed as civil judgments, enforceable and collectible like other circuit court judgments.

Commission orders may be enforced through contempt proceedings in addition to the new judgment confirmation process.

These changes implement recommendations from the Commission to Improve Standards of Conduct established by House Resolution No. 9 (2022).

The Act takes effect upon approval.
