• Establishes a Future Fusion Task Force within the Hawaii State Energy Office to explore fusion energy as a power source for the state.

• Task force shall determine the feasibility of amending the Hawaii State Constitution to permit fusion-powered reactors.

• Task force shall evaluate potential sites for fusion reactor development and identify ways to accelerate fusion technology progress in the state.

• Chief Energy Officer serves as chair and shall invite academics, scientists, and futurists with relevant expertise to serve as task force members.

• Task force must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 regular session convenes, and ceases to exist on June 30, 2025.
