Urges the Hawai'i Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission to develop a proactive and comprehensive communication strategy educating residents about climate change health impacts.

Commission should use federal Inflation Reduction Act funding and partner with state agencies, local governments, and community organizations to develop a public health engagement strategy.

Strategy must be led by Native Hawaiian communities and those most reliant on the natural environment, address eco-grief and mental health impacts, and communicate how climate crisis will uniquely affect Hawaii's public health.

Commission is urged to submit a progress report to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2024, detailing actions taken, vulnerable communities identified, and necessary funding for future outreach efforts.
