Request that the Contractors License Board include at least two members who are Specialty Contractors licensed in structural trades such as carpentry framing, masonry, structural welding, reinforcing steel, post tensioning, pile driving, ornamental/guardrail/fencing, or welding.

Require that these two members hold specialty licenses that were not automatically issued through General Engineering or General Building Contractor licenses.

Direct the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to consider establishing an advisory committee focused on structural contracting issues within the Board.

Direct the Department to review whether automatic issuance of specialty licenses to General Engineering and General Building Contractors without additional examination or fees adequately protects public health and safety.

Require submission of a report with findings and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2024 Regular Session.
