Urges the Hawaii Sister-State Committee to recommend initiating a sister-state relationship between Hawaii and Fujian Province, China.

Fujian Province is a southeastern Chinese province with approximately 41,500,000 residents and the second-highest gross domestic product per capita among all Chinese provinces.

Hawaii currently maintains sister-state relationships with three entities in the Greater China region: Guangdong (established 1985), Hainan (established 1992), and Taiwan (established 1993).

The mayors of Honolulu and Fuzhou (capital of Fujian Province) established a sister-city relationship on October 21, 2021, providing foundation for the proposed province-level relationship.

Directs transmission of certified copies of the resolution to the Governor and Chairperson of the Hawaii Sister-State Committee.
