Department of Human Services Med-QUEST Division requested to expand qualified provider types for lactation consultant services for Hawaii's Medicaid population in collaboration with the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.

Med-QUEST Division directed to take necessary steps to obtain approvals, create internal processes, and expand access to providers with International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners certification.

Med-QUEST Division required to submit a report to the Legislature no later than 20 days prior to the convening of the 2024 Regular Session detailing steps taken and progress made in expanding provider types.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Directors of Human Services, Health, and Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and the Med-QUEST Division Administrator.
