Allows school health assistants to administer oral, nasal, topical, and emergency premeasured medications (including auto-injectable epinephrine, bronchodilators, and seizure rescue medication) with approval from a health care professional within the Department of Education, Department of Health, or a contracted health care service provider.

Changes medication approval authority from exclusively the Department of Health to include health care professionals already employed within the Department of Education or contracted health care services with written agreements.

Replaces the outdated job title "school health aides" with "school health assistants" throughout Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 88-21, 302A-708, 302A-854, and 457-13.

Defines "health care professional" for medication approval purposes as physicians, surgeons, and others licensed under chapter 453 and nurses licensed under chapter 457.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
