Requires the Department of Public Safety (or successor Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation) to install digital cameras in all guard control rooms at any correctional center housing women by July 1, 2024.

Mandates sufficient camera coverage to ensure the health and safety of all staff and inmates, with documentation and preservation of video evidence related to staff misconduct, abusive treatment of inmates, or criminal activity.

Appropriates funding from general revenues for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 to purchase and install the digital cameras (specific amount not specified in bill text).

Transfers all responsibilities and appropriations related to this Act from the Department of Public Safety to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation effective January 1, 2024.
