Department of Health and Department of Human Services shall develop and adopt rules, policies, and plan amendments to ensure state Medicaid covers medically necessary services, including applied behavior analysis services, for individuals aged 21 and older with neurodevelopmental disorders including autism spectrum disorder

Departments shall apply for necessary approvals from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to amend the state Medicaid plan to provide reimbursements for medically necessary services, including applied behavior analysis services, to Medicaid-eligible persons over age 21 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder

An unspecified sum is appropriated from general revenues for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 to the Department of Human Services to develop and adopt necessary rules, policies, and plan amendments

Effective date is July 1, 2050
