S.B. 162 Summary

• Adds "community health center" to the list of employment settings where the Board of Dentistry may issue community service licenses without examination to practice dental hygiene and dentistry.

• Allows dental hygiene and dentistry applicants to submit diplomas or certificates from colleges with reciprocal agreements with the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation, in addition to those directly accredited by that body.

• Permits dentistry license applicants to submit evidence of passing the Integrated National Board Dental Examination as an alternative to Parts I and II of the National Board Dental Examination.

• Allows the Board to issue temporary licenses to dental residency program graduates from colleges with reciprocal agreements with the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation.

• Effective date: December 31, 2050.
