S.B. 210 Summary

• Establishes a Criminal Justice Data Sharing Working Group comprising representatives from county police departments, prosecutors, public defenders, courts, corrections, law enforcement, and legislative committees, chaired by the Attorney General.

• Working group shall develop a memorandum of agreement between participating agencies, identify operational and policy drivers, address implementation issues, and formulate recommendations for legislative and administrative changes to facilitate criminal justice data sharing.

• Working group must provide annual updates to the legislature and submit a final report by 20 days before the 2026 legislative session, with recommendations for a statewide criminal justice data repository to begin operations July 1, 2028.

• Specifies comprehensive data categories to be shared including pre-charging information, case details, defendant demographics and charges, bail/bond information, sentencing details, inmate records, and probation/community control information.

• Working group members shall protect shared information and data; working group ceases to exist July 1, 2029.
