HI SB290

Requires appropriations allocated to Department of Education schools or programs providing instructional services directly to students remain within the budget of the school or program to which funds were originally allocated.

Prohibits the Department of Education from using fund carryover as a basis for reducing a school's or program's future budget requirements.

Requires the Department of Education to report creation of temporary positions to the Legislature in addition to the Department of Budget and Finance.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
