Amends Section 304A-105, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to add new subsection (d) requiring Board of Regents approval of any designee selected by the chairperson to serve on legislatively established boards, commissions, working groups, or task forces.

Designee approval must be granted by the Board of Regents subject to quorum and majority vote requirements specified in Section 304A-104(c).

Changes terminology in subsection (b) from "set forth" to "described" regarding the board's procurement powers under Section 304A-2672.

Redesignates existing subsection (d) regarding the official name of the board as subsection (e).

Takes effect upon approval.
