Allows physician assistants with a current, valid, and permanent license to sign orders for respiratory therapy and plans of care, in addition to their existing authority to sign ten other types of medical documents.

Expands the definition of "practice of respiratory care" to permit respiratory care services to be prescribed by osteopathic physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses, in addition to physicians.

Permits respiratory therapists to practice under the order and qualified direction of osteopathic physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses, in addition to physicians.

Redefines "qualified direction" to include ready access to osteopathic physicians, physician assistants, or advanced practice registered nurses with specialty training in respiratory disorders, replacing the previous "direct supervision" requirement.

Takes effect on December 31, 2050.
