Establishes an inter-division program within the Department of Land and Natural Resources involving the State Historic Preservation Division, Land Division, Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands, Island Burial Councils, and Office of Hawaiian Affairs to address Hawaiian burial sites (ʻiwi) threatened by coastal erosion.

Program shall examine fiscal impacts of relocating ʻiwi, move and relocate remains from impacted coastal sites to inland areas within the same moku (district), provide technical assistance to affected communities, and develop protection policies for relocated and non-relocated burial sites.

Office of Hawaiian Affairs shall cover costs for moving and relocating Hawaiian ʻiwi, while the Department of Land and Natural Resources shall use appropriated funds for non-Hawaiian human remains relocation.

State Historic Preservation Division required to submit report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2024 regular session.

Appropriates unspecified general revenue funds for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 for policy development and restoration of non-Hawaiian burial sites impacted by coastal erosion; effective date July 1, 2050.
