Requires the Department of Education Committee on Weights to consider inequities and negative consequences of its weighted student formula recommendations on small and remote schools when developing the formula.

Mandates the Committee on Weights report any identified inequities or negative consequences to the Board of Education and provide funding adjustment recommendations to address them.

Defines "small and remote school" as a public school that meets one of four criteria: located at least one hour's drive from the nearest public high school, located in a county with population under 200,000, an elementary school with fewer than 200 students, or a secondary school with fewer than 400 students.

Addresses the weighted student formula established by the Reinventing Education Act of 2004, which had placed small and remote schools at a disadvantage despite being designed for equitable fund distribution.

Takes effect upon approval.
