Requires state agencies, boards, and commissions collecting demographic data on ancestry or ethnicity to use disaggregated categories for Native Hawaiians, major Asian groups (Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean), and major Pacific Islander groups (Chamorro, Samoan, Tongan, Fijian, and others).

Mandates that disaggregated demographic data be included in all reports on ancestry or ethnic origins published or released on or after July 1, 2023, with data made publicly available except for personal identifying information.

Requires the Department of Health, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Department of Human Services, and county police departments to post disaggregated data on Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, and Asians to their websites by July 1, 2024, and annually thereafter, sharing with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs and Office of Health Equity.

Establishes a task force on twenty-first century data governance to assess current demographic data collection, processing, retention, and sharing procedures across state agencies and report findings and recommendations to the legislature by twenty days before the 2024 regular session, dissolving June 30, 2024.

Effective date is July 1, 2112 (note: this appears to be a clerical error in the bill text).
