Requires members of each board of registration to be registered voters in the respective county of the board to which they are appointed and remain registered voters throughout their term of office.

Establishes that political party membership for board members shall be determined by the respective political party at the time of appointment and updated if a member changes party affiliation during their term.

Requires board members to provide verification of party membership upon request by the governor or a senator and to notify the governor and senate president if they change party membership during their term.

Maintains the existing requirement that no board of registration shall consist entirely of members of one political party.

Takes effect January 1, 2024.
