Request the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations to conduct a study of exemptions to Hawaii's minimum wage law contained in section 387-1, Hawaii Revised Statutes

Study must specifically consider whether exemptions from the definition of "employee" should be repealed, including exemptions for agricultural employees at farms with fewer than 20 people, coffee harvesting workers, domestic caretakers, administrative and supervisory employees, and fish harvesting workers

Require the Department to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2024 Regular Session convenes

Direct certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Director of Labor and Industrial Relations
