Request that the Contractors License Board include at least two Specialty Contractor members licensed in structural contracting subclassifications (carpentry framing, masonry, ornamental/guardrail/fencing, pile driving, post tensioning, reinforcing steel, or structural welding).

Require that these two members hold specialty licenses not automatically issued through General Engineering Contractor or General Building Contractor licenses.

Request the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to consider establishing an advisory committee focused on structural contracting issues within the Board.

Request review of whether automatic issuance of eight specialty licenses to General Engineering and General Building Contractors without further examination or fees adequately protects public health and safety.

Require submission of a report with findings and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the Regular Session of 2024.
