Requests the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts to establish a task force to develop plans for a Museum of Modern Hawaii History focused on Hawaii's territorial and statehood eras.

Task force membership includes the Executive Director of the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (as chair), Hawaii Tourism Authority president/CEO, State Archivist, Chief Justice, relevant legislative committee chairs, and additional members with specialized expertise.

Museum scope includes chronicling Hawaii's significant milestones and leadership on national and global issues since the twentieth century, such as World War II events, same-sex marriage judicial rulings, Title IX origins, and renewable energy legislation.

Task force required to submit annual progress reports to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the Regular Sessions of 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027, with recommendations and any proposed legislation.

Task force is permitted to dissolve at will and copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to the Comptroller, Chief Justice, and relevant state agencies.
